About the Association
How It All Began?
The Founding Story
The "Netina La'Acher" (Giving to Others) Israel Association began its journey in 2021 in Or Yehuda, initiated by Oded Nussbaum out of a deep sense of mission. The vision was clear: to connect communities across the country through the values of giving and compassion. A simple yet deeply meaningful activity was established - providing weekly home-cooked meals and food baskets to families in distress.
Oded, alongside a few initial volunteers from the surrounding area, successfully established the first branch and demonstrated a spirit of social-community mutual guarantee. The activity gained momentum, and today more than 18 communities operate in various settlements, including Tzfat, Yokneam, Pardes Hana, Rosh HaAyin, Petah Tikva, Or Yehuda, Bat Yam, Holon, Rishon LeZion, Ashdod, Rehovot, Gedera, and more.
The idea is simple: volunteers cook homemade meals in their homes or prepare food baskets, and volunteer drivers transport them to families in need—all while preserving the dignity and discretion of the recipient families. This is the practice of "Love your neighbor as yourself" - small actions with a huge contribution to our collective public spirit.
The association does not operate on the basis of financial donations, but entirely on donations of cooked food and food baskets—acts of true giving.

A Word from the Founder
Hello dear friends, my name is Oded Nussbaum, married to my beloved Hava and father to the lovely Yoav, Lavi, and Ayal. Originally from Ramat Gan, I currently live in Yehud Monoson.
I studied Industrial Engineering and Management at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and for the past decade, I have been working at Ituran as an analyst and information systems developer. My hobbies include swimming, jeeps, hiking, camping, basketball, diving, and sailing. In recent years, in my spare time, I have been coaching in the fields of personal development, mental resilience, and maximizing potential.
I began my journey in the world of volunteering and kindness through projects with children with disabilities as part of my work, and I also joined "Yedidim - Roadside Assistance." I discovered that it made me feel really good, filling me with positive energy, meaning, depth, and joy. My next volunteering stint was already with dry and cooked food in the "Chaluka LaKehilah" (Distribution to the Community) organization in Ramat Gan, within which I even took the initiative, connected with bakeries, and opened a distribution line that I initiated, including daily collections from bakeries.
Only when I realized that I truly wanted to do good in the world did it dawn on me that I was going to establish a new organization, which I would grow gradually, steadily, with enthusiasm and vigor, thus fulfilling my ambitions to help as many families in need as possible. And that is how I started "Netina La'Acher" in March 2021 in Or Yehuda.
I believe in the importance of volunteering and work extensively to expand the circle of projects and volunteers while deeply connecting to the values at the core of our activity. I love life and love to smile, and I wholeheartedly believe in the importance of helping those whom society overlooks, out of a sense of social-human partnership and to foster unity of hearts. I will continue to promote social and community projects with a sense of mission and a deep belief in the paths of grace and truth.
